From the people we hire to the level of customer care our team provides, a spirit of goodness has always been a part of our DNA at World Finance. (It’s written right there in our motto: Get Back to the Good.) We’ve always been determined to go above and beyond, and we’re constantly looking for new ways to keep getting better.
Recently, those efforts were recognized on a national scale – and we couldn’t be prouder.
We’re delighted to share that World Finance has been named a 2021 Top Workplaces USA winner. This marks the sixth Workplace award World has received in the past year, and we’re the only company in South Carolina to receive the 2021 designation.
Based on employee feedback, the 2021 Top Workplaces USA award is a reflection of our internal culture through the eyes of those who know it best – our people. Feedback from team members has always been one of our most meaningful measures of success as a company. We work hard to not only serve our customers, but to also create a culture and environment that encourages every member of our team to serve with empathy and expertise. This award demonstrates that our initiatives and commitment to culture truly do make a difference in the lives of our nearly 3,500 team members, and how that level of engagement translates into the care they put into serving World Finance customers in communities throughout the country.
In addition, this year’s award is especially significant as it recognizes companies that have successfully built and maintained strong employee connections and cultures of success in the midst of unprecedented challenges.
It’s no secret that 2020 was a challenging year for everyone. The impact of the global health crisis brought numerous changes for World, requiring everyone to embrace a spirit of flexibility, adaptability, and innovation.
In addition to the adoption of virtual and remote technology for company communications, many of our team members shifted to remote work as early as mid-March of last year while our front line team members continued to serve our customers. Flexible branch hours were added to better accommodate the needs of essential workers and parents impacted by school closures. We also added a digital loan application and funding process to support social distancing and better protect those most at risk.
As a result of industry closures and layoffs, many of our existing and new customers found themselves in need of some extra money to make ends meet. Throughout it all, we remained dedicated to providing our customers with the services and funding they needed while innovating ways to keep our team safe and healthy.
While this award bears the World Finance name, it belongs to each of you who have put your trust in us, be it as an employer or a partner on your financial journey. It has been an honor to support you through these challenging times, and we look forward to getting back to the good together in the brighter days to come.
