World Acceptance Corporation Donates $5,000 for Tech Education Scholarship

Greenville, SC – (April 14, 2021) – World Acceptance Corporation (NASDAQ: WRLD) today announced it has donated $5,000 toward a scholarship for Carolina Code School in Greenville. The scholarship is available for accepted students enrolling in the school’s full-time, 12-week web development course this summer.

“We’re always on a mission to do good for our community at World, particularly when it comes to removing barriers for people who are working to better themselves and their communities,” said Chad Prashad, Chief Executive Officer for World. “We believe in supporting local educational institutions like Carolina Code School, which offers a much-needed pathway to employment in technology for students from all backgrounds.”

Scholarship finalists will interview with the technical team at World Acceptance as part of the selection process. Applications for the course and scholarship are due Friday, April 16.

The course begins May 3 and will be held at the school’s campus inside the NEXT Innovation Center, 411 University Ridge in Greenville. Interested learners may submit an application for the course at carolinacodeschool.org/apply.
