By now, you’ve probably heard that World is on a mission to help people get back to the good. We recently had the opportunity to show a little extra love to a group of amazing people who spend their days helping others get back to the good in a different way; as nurses on the frontlines of healthcare.
In the face of uncertainty surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, these amazing men and women embody courage and compassion on a whole new level by showing up to care for others when they needed them most. From the dramatic moments that made headlines to the tiny, unspoken acts of kindness that went unnoticed by most, we’re honored to share the stories of 10 healthcare heroes and show some love in the form of surprise $2,000 on the 2,000th episode of The Dr. Oz Show.
In addition, we’ve also decided to extend the spirit of giving within our own walls as we acknowledge front line workers in our branches. We will soon provide financial gifts to a few World team members who have faced challenges as a result of the pandemic.
